Lou Zimick entered the electrical trade in 2006 and began his IBEW apprenticeship in 2007. Zimick Electric LLC was formed in 2016 and has spent the years since moving steadily from service work into commercial construction, not by chasing every opportunity, but by getting deep in a few building types and letting the referrals follow.
Healthcare became the anchor. Eight years of continuous work inside occupied clinical facilities set a standard for planning, documentation, and cleanliness that is now applied to every job we take, whether it is a hospital corridor or a homeowner’s generator pad.
Today the company is a signatory contractor with IBEW Local 164, running a dedicated field team and a maintained service fleet out of Englewood, New Jersey.

We estimate before we price
Quantified takeoff, labor applied by installation condition, current vendor pricing. The number holds because there is arithmetic behind it.
We work in occupied buildings
Containment, planned outages, labeled restoration, and a clean site at the end of every shift. Learned in healthcare, applied everywhere.
We close out properly
Panel schedules, as-builts, and a turnover package your facilities team can actually use. Closeout is part of the scope, not an afterthought.

Lifeline: backup power for first responders at home
Zimick Electric supports Lifeline Power Foundation, which puts reliable backup power in the homes of first responders and their families. The logic is straightforward. A firefighter or EMT whose own house has no power is a firefighter or EMT who is home dealing with that instead of answering the call. Keeping the household running is what keeps the responder available to the community.
We contribute what we actually have, at no charge to the foundation: system design, load calculations, permit coordination, and field oversight. We also direct one percent of our revenue to the foundation, so the work we do for our commercial clients helps fund the work the foundation does for responders.
